Bauer's been out 8 months now!

welp this week was pretty good. Elder Prince is way cool I like him a lot we are like best friends, I'm so glad I got a good comp i was nervous when I heard he was coming out for the 2nd time but he is ready to work. He is from Hurricane Utah, pretty much right by the border of Arizona so that's cool, I don't consider him a U-tard haha anyway yeah that's weird that people say I look bigger cuz I haven't gained any weight. Being a district leader is overrated all I do is talk on the phone and give a couple of trainings to my district.That's all it really is, is that I'm in charge of my district which is like 10 missionaries. I cant believe Ross and Trevor are gonna be home soon, that is so crazy to think about. If time keeps going this fast I'll be home in no time. So how is the missionary work going in R.V.? Its weird cuz when I was home I never even thought about it but now that I'm out here I'm just curious as to how the work is going. well everything is going good here I really liked your quote! A scripture we use a lot out here is Amos 3:7. I think if we truly understood the role of a prophet and what he is we would do everything we could to obey everything that he says. I often ask ppl we teach why wouldn't God call a prophet in these days? Look at the world today. This is a time when the world needs a prophet the most! I'm so grateful for a prophet in these days! I am also grateful that we have proof. The Book Of Mormon is here that we may know that God is the same yesterday today and forever and has called a prophet in these last days just as days of old. We did a lot of tracting and contacting and found some pretty good ppl to teach. so the other day i was looking at a calender and Ive been out 8 months..... talk about the fastest 8 months of my life! its scary how fast the time goes out here. its going way to fast. sorry i haven't got any pictures i still have to get a charger for my camera. it actually has kinda cooled down here. its been like 97 with 97% humidity so its not as bad as it has been. I've been pretty sick the last couple of days with a cold... don't ask me how you get a cold in 97 degree weather. But Sister Averett (aka Goey) is doctoring me up. All her grand kids call her Goey so she told us to start calling her that. so when i tell ppl I played football out here they just look at me and laugh cuz I'm so small haha.... so we just cover one ward and all the young women are in love with Elder Prince hahaha its way funny. everything is going really good here. I'm just havivg trouble getting this area up and running. I feel like a crappy missionary but I'm tryin my best. I know that we will be blessed for our work here pretty soon. We are going to set some baptism dates with a couple of our investigators this week if the spirit directs to do so, I hope all goes as planned. Well I love ya'll and I have a p day to enjoy so I will talk with ya next week

Bauer's six month letter

It's miricles like the ones I have seen these that will make you realize the lords hand in missionary work. I know without a doubt that he softens hearts. I know now more than ever that our savoir Jesus Christ lives. Daily scripture study has helped me so much!!! especially down here in the south where no matter what door you knock on they are going to know the bible front to back. I guess I was forced to know the bible better. I prayerfully study the Bible as well as the Book Of Mormon everyday and my knowledge has increased tremendously. Together they are the fullness of the everlasting gospel and can bless the lives of others. Preach My Gospel is an awesome book! I love it. Every family should have a copy in their home. Recently I have been studying Ch. 6 which is Christ like attributes. It is one of my favorite chapters. I know that as we strive to be Christ like we willl be blessed, we will have more courage to share this message of the restoration with everybody. As I have studied Preach my Gospel I have realized how important the message of the restored gospel is. Jesus Christ himself has again built up the foundation of HIS church and called a prophet and apostles in these days. I know this to be true because of the proof he left us with, the Book Of Mormon. the Book of Mormom is evidence that Joseph Smith was called to restore his church after years of apostacy. I know this church is true. . .I wouldn't be 2000 miles away from my family here in Alabama if I didnt know it was true. I love ya'll

Que tal? como estas? well my new area is straight up country!! seriously I'm in the back woods now haha its pretty fun except for the 5 mile bike ride i have to take just to get into town. when we don't have the car we average about 20 to 25 miles a day on the bikes. elder Dorr and i get along good he is so funny. yes mam i did get your letters and thank you so much!! so the sad thing about my area is that there was some disobedient Elders here before us so there is nothing going on at all!! we are teaching a couple of church's tho yes church's haha so that's cool. but really that's it there is nothing going on here so we are gonna get this area started again! that is so awesome about dads new treatment! i know that it is working only bcuz the love the Savior has for us. he truly does answer our prayers and is ALWAYS looking out for us. i know that if we trust in him with all our heart he will direct our paths and answer our prayers, the Lords hand is in our family lives everyday and we must NOT forget to thank him for watching over us. I'm so happy for the good news it makes me feel better! I'm so pumped for Tell that is awesome! i also sent you a card so be looking for that! well I'm glad to here things are going well! i know this is short but ill tell you a lot on the phone. thank Brooks for the letter and that i will write more next week and answer his questions when i have a little more time.
